Tip
If you use Badgr for Canvas, the first step to setting Badgr up in your course is to define an issuer profile. The form to define a new profile is available right in the app. If you also have a Badgr account outside of Canvas, you'll see the issuers you've previously defined outside of Canvas as well.

Creating an issuer in Badgr

  1. Click the ISSUERS  tab
  2. Click CREATE ISSUER
  3. Enter the following:
    1. Issuer Name – e.g., "North Ridge High School English Department"
    2. Website URL – e.g., "http://northridge.mydistrict.k12.us"
    3. Contact Email – e.g., "english@northridge.mydistrict.k12.us"
    4. Issuer Description – e.g., "The instructors of the English Department at the nationally recognized North Ridge School"
  4. Upload an issuer image (optional, but recommended; see What are the recommended specifications for badge images?)
  5. Click ADD ISSUER to save

Note
titleEditing Issuers

Currently, you cannot edit or remove issuers through the Badgr.io interface (though we plan to offer this ability in a future release). In the meantime, if you would like to edit or remove an issuer, feel free to email us with the issuer(s) you would like changed along with the desired alterations. NOTE that removing an issuer will require the revoking and/or removing of all the issuer's badges (see How do I revoke or remove a badge in Badgr?)

Editing an issuer in Badgr

  1. Click the ISSUERS  tab
  2. Click the issuer you want to edit
  3. Click the EDIT button near the name of the issuer.
